Web/Print Features & Exhibitions - Booooooom, Paradise Magazine, SPACE PLACE, Nizhny Tagil Museum of Art, and MORE!

It’s been almost 2 years since I’ve published an update?! Good gawd! Well, understandably we’ve all been affected by Covid-19 in one way or another, so I hope you can forgive me for my tardiness, but I promise it was worth it!

The past 2 years have been very challenging, but also transformative, forcing me out into the world with my camera more, and out into the public sphere with my photography. Here’s a list of what I got up to:

In August of 2019, Papirmass, an ‘art print subscription service’, based in Toronto, ON, featured a couple photographs of mine in their August mailout package.

In December of 2019, long con magazine, a digital arts & literature quarterly that publishes art about art, featured 2 photographs of mine in their 1st issue.

In the Spring of 2020, early into the Covid-19 pandemic in North America, Float Magazine included a photograph of mine in their online exhibition ‘Best of Quarantine’.

In June of 2020, F-Stop Magazine featured 3 photographs from my series ‘Tourisms’ in their online group exhibition ‘Open Theme’.

In November of 2020, Booooooom released the book ‘Small Victories’, featuring 2 photographs from my series ‘MMXIX’. This was my first book publication based in Canada.

In December of 2020, long con magazine, a digital arts & literature quarterly that publishes art about art, again featured 2 photographs of mine, this time in their 5th issue.

On December 5th, 2020, my first solo exhibition in Canada in over 2 years entitled ‘Liquid Crystal’ opened at the Pentper Gallery in Lunenburg, NS. The exhibit featured a selection of 10 photographs from my series ‘Liquid Crystal’, and was on display until the end of January, 2021.

Later in December of 2020, I had my first international solo exhibition, and in Russia of all places! SPACE PLACE, located in Nizhny Tagil, Ural, Russia exhibited a selection of 15 images from my series ‘Infrared & White’. Also entitled ‘Infrared & White’, the exhibition opened on December 17th, 2020 and was on display for 2 weeks.

In February of 2021, I became a featured artist on the photography website NOICE Magazine, on which they feature 5 photographs from my series ‘The Year Was 2018’.

In May of 2021, I was featured alongside 29 other photographers in the 4th and final print publication from Paradise Magazine, entitled ‘Issue #4’.

And finally, for now, in June of 2021, due to the popularity of my exhibition of ‘Infrared & White’ at SPACE PLACE, the Nizhny Tagil Museum of Fine Arts picked up the show for a second run, while also increasing the size of the exhibit to 20 photographs. ‘Infrared & White’ opens on June 6th, 2021 at 4:00PM in the Artist’s House.

Thanks for checking in, supporting my work, and I hope to be back with more good news again soon ;)
