Web & Print Features - Booooooom, C41 Magazine, FLOAT Magazine, and OPAL Community

I'm behind but on schedule? It’s been over a year since my last update on features, so you can see how much I care about promoting my work ;) Regardless, I’ve snapped back into focus and am happy to inform you of what I’ve been up to.

Way back in May of 2018, the New York-based FLOAT Magazine featured work from my series ‘Steady on the Wheel’, a series of 35mm shots taken on tour across Canada from Whitehorse, YT to Halifax, NS. Then, back in October of 2018, I was more then pleased to have work from my series ‘Sackville Street Side’ featured on the Vancouver-based digital magazine/website BOOOOOOOM. I’ve been a huge fan of the work Jeff Hamada and the rest of his collaborators take an interest in and have been following Booooooom for over a decade now, so it was a big milestone for me to have my work recognized by them. This year in March, OPAL Community, an Ottawa-based photography & art label featured work from my series ‘Sackville Street Side’ on their social media platforms (Instagram). And then in June, the OPAL folks included work from my ‘Tourisms’ series in their OPAL Issue #2, along with a launch party and exhibition in the Galerie Annexe of the Ottawa Art Gallery.

In May, I was fortunate enough to again have FLOAT Magazine feature my work, but this time from my series ‘Once Around The Sun’, a chronological collection of photographs spanning the entire year of 2015, documenting adventures, friendships, parties, and everything else in between: https://www.floatmagazine.us/portfolios/corey-isenor

And finally, for now, at the end of June this year, the film-focused, Milan-based C41 Magazine featured my series ‘Sackville Street Side’ on their website and social media platforms. It’s very exciting to have my work reaching international audiences, regardless of how accessible the internet may be worldwide. Hope you’re having a great summer, and make sure to keep up with me and my work on Instagram (@coreyisenor) if you’re not already.

Cheers,

Corey
