Update + Exhibitions / Print & Web Features
Hey everybody, it’s the middle of February and with time on my hands while taking a break from work, I finally have decided to log another update. I’ve been continuing to hike and explore the world more and more over the past 3 years, and am happy to share the news of what I’ve been up to:
In October of 2022, one of my photographs was featured in the online exhibition ‘Goodbye Summer’ curated by Roslyn Julia, and hosted by FLOAT Magazine.
In January of 2023, one of my photographs from the series ‘Luxury of Lupins’ was featured on Pg.80 in the Digital Extra of the Winter Edition of PhotoED Magazine’s ‘BOTANICALS’ issue.
In February of 2023 I was fortunate to have one of my photographs be the cover of F-Stop Magazine’s ‘Black & White’ Issue #117.
In April of 2023 I was very fortunate to have FLOAT Magazine do a feature on my series The Yukon - Full Spectrum Infrared. The profile consists of 26 photographs and a write up about the work.
In September of 2023, one of my photographs entitled ‘Waves of Light’ was featured on Pg.90 in the Digital Extra of the Fall Edition of PhotoED Magazine’s ‘WATER’ issue.
In March of 2024 I was published for the first time in Canadian Geographic. One of my photographs was featured in the March/April 2024 issue entitled Sea Otters on pg.16 of in a section called ‘In A Snap’. Even more fortunate, that photograph was published again at the end of 2024 in the ‘Best of Can Geo 2024 Edition’.
In July of 2024, one of my photographs was featured in the printed zine ‘Imperfect Poetry’ published by FLOAT Magazine. It was curated and designed by the Float Photo Magazine Team, with contributing writers Liz Larsen and Joe Cuccio. Order a copy of the zine HERE-IMPERFECT POETRY.
On July 19th, 2024 the exhibition ‘New Topographics - contemporary landscapes’ opened in Dover, New Hampshire, USA at the Katzman Contemporary Projects gallery space. The exhibition featured 77 photographs from 35 artists that explored contemporary landscapes and built environments with a focus on the intersection between human development and the natural world. 3 of my photographs of the Tuft’s Cove smoke stacks were on display in the exhibition, which was up until September 19th, 2024.
In August of 2024, one of my photographs was featured in Happening / Happenstance. Presented by ephemere., in collaboration with NOICE Magazine and co-curated by Colin Czerwinski and Anne Murayama, this photography exhibition and book launch included 222 artists from around the world. My photograph of a crescent moon in a barren silhouetted night sky appeared on pg. 40 of the publication, and in the exhibition in Tokyo, Japan. The group show and book launch took place on August 24th and 25th; a weekend full of candid, clever, and comic photography.
In December of 2024, I was very fortunate to have James Mullinger of [EDIT] Magazine interview me for a full, 6-page spread on my life as a photographer here in Atlantic Canada. Available in Volume 31 of the Winter 2024 edition, you can see a preview and purchase a copy HERE.
And finally, for now, in January of 2025, one of my infrared photographs was featured on the CONTENTS page of the print-edition of PhotoED Magazine’s ‘COLOUR’ issue. In addition, they also featured a different photo on the CONTENTS page in the Digital Edition, as well as a 3-photo spread of my infrared photographs on pg. 42-43.
Thanks again for checking in and supporting my work, and look out for a local exhibition announcement in the coming months.
